Today is a rough day for me and there isn't even a reason!
Some days it is really easy to let life, responsibilities, family and even just the world around you overwhelm you! It isn't always easy to pin-point why, and sometimes there isn't even a reason for those feelings.
On these days I try to remind myself repeatedly that it is ok to have days where you can only get through the bare minimum. Maybe dishes get skipped and the floors don't get swept. Maybe you woke up and determined that today was not the day to go shopping for that dress you need for an event or run to the post office.
That is ok!
Be kind to yourself.
Take time to figure out why you're feeling off and if it is something that can be changed or if it's just what it is. Forget what the world and society expect of you on these days. Let your self-doubt and guilt for needing the time be pushed aside and concentrate on self-care.
Like our physical bodies, the mind needs times to recover and recharge as well. Allowing yourself to do just the bare minimum to get through a tough day is a huge accomplishment!
